Human-First AI and Responsible Technology Policy

Our position

Artificial intelligence is already present in the workplace. It may be embedded in search engines, email, translation, scheduling, transcription, design platforms, project-management systems, and other everyday tools.

SOBIS EDGE does not promise an entirely AI-free workplace. We promise to approach AI intentionally, transparently, and responsibly.

Human-first does not mean anti-technology. It means technology remains accountable to people.

AI may assist a task. It does not own the workflow.

We do not hand an entire workflow to an AI system and assume that the result is complete, accurate, appropriate, or ethical.

Appropriate uses

Depending on the project, AI may assist with:

• Organizing nonconfidential information

• Preparing preliminary outlines or drafts

• Summarizing meetings or approved materials

• Identifying questions, options, or possible risks

• Supporting scheduling and administrative work

• Improving project visibility and documentation

• Supporting ordinary translation and accessibility

• Exploring creative directions

• Reducing repetitive work that does not require professional judgment

Decisions we do not delegate to AI

SOBIS EDGE will not use AI to make or materially determine final decisions involving:

• Hiring, termination, promotion, compensation, discipline, or performance

• Eligibility for employment, education, training, credentials, or benefits

• Medical care, diagnosis, treatment, mental health, or participant safety

• Legal rights, contracts, compliance, or regulatory interpretation

• Taxes, accounting, credit, insurance, investments, or financial eligibility

• Housing, public benefits, or other regulated and high-impact matters

• A person’s character, readiness, trustworthiness, emotional state, or professional worth

When a project reaches a legal, medical, financial, employment, privacy, insurance, cybersecurity, credentialing, or other regulated question, we pause and refer the matter to an appropriately qualified professional.

AI-assisted translation may support ordinary communication. It does not replace a qualified interpreter when legal rights, medical care, safety, contractual consent, or another regulated matter is involved.

Education and AI literacy

SOBIS EDGE may include AI literacy in coursework and professional development.

The purpose is not to teach project managers to surrender their work to technology. It is to help them understand where AI is present, what it can and cannot do, how to question its output, and when not to use it.

Our approach may include:

• Understanding the limits of generative AI

• Protecting confidential and sensitive information

• Checking facts, sources, calculations, and citations

• Recognizing bias, exclusion, and unsupported assumptions

• Documenting material AI assistance

• Evaluating intellectual-property and authorship concerns

• Selecting tools according to purpose and risk

• Maintaining professional scope and accountability

• Preserving the judgment, communication, and leadership of the project manager

In educational settings, AI does not replace teaching, mentorship, participant choice, or compassionate instruction. We do not use AI to diagnose, profile, rank, or make final judgments about a learner.

Privacy and confidential information

SOBIS EDGE does not knowingly enter confidential or sensitive personal information into public AI tools.

This includes health information, financial information, biometric information, student or participant records, employment information, legal matters, passwords, private client documents, and unpublished business information.

When AI use is approved for a project, we limit the information provided, remove identifying details when practical, and consider the provider’s privacy, security, retention, and training practices.

Clients and project owners should not place confidential information into an AI tool without understanding how that information may be stored, processed, shared, or used.

Accuracy, authorship, and intellectual property

AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, fabricated, or too confident.

We do not assume that AI-generated material is original, legally protectable, properly licensed, or free from third-party rights. Facts, quotations, citations, credentials, calculations, images, and other material claims require appropriate review.

SOBIS EDGE does not use AI to fabricate testimonials, reviews, credentials, case studies, professional experience, or project results. We do not use synthetic media to impersonate another person or mislead an audience.

Questions involving copyright, trademark, licensing, ownership, privacy, publicity rights, or contractual use are referred to qualified counsel.

Fairness and economic participation

We believe technological progress should broaden opportunity rather than concentrate it.

SOBIS EDGE is especially attentive to the effects of automation on small businesses, independent professionals, underrepresented groups, artists, educators, wellness professionals, and the stability of middle-class work.

We do not measure responsible AI use only by how many hours or positions it can eliminate. Efficiency matters, but so do livelihoods, professional development, community knowledge, access, dignity, and meaningful participation in work.

Our commitment is to help project managers and small organizations gain enough AI literacy to participate in technological change without becoming dependent on systems they do not understand or handing away the value of their own work.

Transparency and choice

When AI has played a material role in a deliverable, recommendation, translation, analysis, or published work, SOBIS EDGE will disclose that involvement when it is relevant to the client, participant, project owner, or intended audience.

Clients may raise concerns about AI use during project intake. When reasonably possible, we will establish a limited-AI or non-generative alternative. Because AI may be embedded in ordinary workplace software, we will not describe a project as completely AI-free unless that claim has been specifically evaluated and documented.

Third-party tools

AI services are operated by third parties whose features, terms, security practices, training practices, and data policies may change.

SOBIS EDGE evaluates tools according to the needs and risks of the project, but we do not control or guarantee the operation, availability, accuracy, security, or future conduct of an outside provider.

A tool’s popularity does not establish that it is appropriate for a particular project.

Accountability

Shared responsibility, not individual burden

AI governance at SOBIS EDGE is an organizational practice. It is not placed entirely upon an individual project manager.

Responsibility is assigned according to authority, expertise, access, and control. SOBIS EDGE establishes the governance approach. The client or project owner retains authority over business decisions and final approvals. Qualified specialists remain responsible for conclusions within their professional disciplines. Technology providers remain responsible for their systems and representations under their terms and applicable requirements.

The project manager is responsible for following the agreed project process, documenting known material uses of AI, coordinating appropriate review, raising reasonably observable concerns, and escalating questions that exceed the project manager’s authority or expertise.

A project manager is not expected to inspect an AI model, audit a technology provider, discover undisclosed AI functions, independently verify every source, or guarantee that every tool and resource is free from AI influence.

Review according to risk

Review should be proportionate to the potential effect of the work.

Routine administrative assistance may receive ordinary professional review. Work involving public claims, participant safety, confidential information, employment, education, finance, health, legal rights, regulated services, or other consequential matters requires appropriately qualified review or should not use AI.

A project manager coordinates that review. The project manager does not replace the subject-matter specialist, attorney, accountant, healthcare professional, privacy professional, or other qualified reviewer.

A realistic promise in an evolving environment

AI may be embedded in workplace tools, search results, reference materials, communication platforms, and vendor systems without being immediately visible or fully explained.

SOBIS EDGE cannot identify, inspect, or independently verify every AI model, data source, embedded feature, vendor process, or downstream influence. We do not guarantee that a project, source, tool, or output will be entirely free from AI, error, bias, omission, interruption, or outdated information.

Our commitment is to use reasonable, proportionate, and risk-based care based on the information, technology, professional resources, and project scope available at the time.

We commit to:

• Being transparent about known material uses of AI

• Keeping people in control of consequential decisions

• Matching the level of review to the level of risk

• Seeking qualified review when a matter exceeds our scope

• Responding responsibly when an error or concern becomes known

• Updating our practices as technology and applicable requirements evolve

We do not promise omniscience or perfection. We promise thoughtful governance, honest communication, professional boundaries, and a willingness to pause when the responsible path is unclear.

Scope of this policy

This page describes the general working principles of SOBIS EDGE. It is not legal, medical, financial, tax, employment, cybersecurity, insurance, or regulatory advice.

Requirements vary by project, profession, contract, and location. When specialized interpretation or approval is required, the appropriate qualified professional remains responsible for that decision.
